Another day… another something else

So the moment has come where things are in order for me to not only take over the world but to take over your hearts. I’m not saying it’s going to happen to everyone but if you wouldn’t mind letting me in it would make things much easier for the both of us. The stars have aligned to bring all the newest Max Wray products (while typing my name just now I did it wrong and not in a typo sense. More in an I don’t remember sense).

A Quick Hello…

Hey Love,

It’s been a while. I know I haven’t said much, and all I’ve really done is inundate you with nonsensical videos, and bad photos of myself. To be honest March was the busiest month of my life. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed myself, I played 20 shows, started final mixing on my acoustic CD, started work on Drag Queen film score with my friends Matt Montour and John “Confidence is all in how you feel. Man I’m lonely” Kirby, and landed my own radio show on INDI 101. So all and all the career side is on track. But I feel as if we’ve drifted. I feel as if I haven’t told you about the real me. You know the guy who, enjoys conversations brought about on long walks through dimly lit city streets. And the guy that just enjoys the adventure of a night unplanned, no matter the outcome. So I will make this vow to you. I will share more, spend quality time, dance a little closer, and fight a little harder for you. I just hope that you haven’t given up on me. And that I just might be worth a little bit of work. So if you think that you could give me a second chance at this whole internet love connection I think we could spend our days in love, watching law and order reruns, and eating carrot from the Bean Bar. 

It might not sound glamourous to you, but if all of that combined I would lose myself to you in that moment and never let go.

Max “waiting for you” Wray 

What do you mean my chin’s still to high?

I have never been one for having my photo taken. I know you’re saying (especially if you’re one of my facebook friends) that I’m a huge liar. In fairness a lot of those pictures are bad, and most were taken when I was drinking. But the truth is, to get me to pose properly for a picture has been the bane of many people’s exsistence since I was a young boy. I am constantly reminded by my family, of how I ruined every picture taken on our vacations. Now the shoe is on the other foot. I actually set up my very own photo shoot. Now although it has been “in talks” for over a year now, it finally happened this past sunday. I had the privelage to work with the lovely and talented Beth Kaye Smith (www.elizabethkaye.ca). I spent the day before making basic prep, trying to figure what was going to make me look as non-douchey as possible, then just saying forget it and buying the standard leather jacket that is needed. I learned a few things that day. Most of them were spouted by Beth. I learned, 1) that I (arguably) look somewhat like Elijah Wood (I am the one arguing this by the way). 2) My chin is always an inch too high at all times. (I equate this to a hightened amount of self-confidence which is probably not true). 3) I have a “perma-smirk” (this phrase is trademarked by Beth Kaye Smith). And lastly 4) this I didn’t know but APPARENTLY, your not supposed to talk or blink during every picture the photographer takes. Well I guess I learned something, so all and all this experience, should be fruitful. I feel I’ve made a friend, fought a subconscious fear, and gained some good press photos. They will hopefully be up soon.
